Storytelling – Something Beyond Stories!
Storytelling is one of the most important skills that we can teach our kids. They can leverage the best out of it as it enhances their language skills, makes them passionate about reading, and instills their imagination. Storytelling gives them exposure to real and imaginary stories which is a great way to keep them interested and focused.
Storytelling plays a very important role in the overall development of toddlers as well as children. Before you start storytelling sessions for your kids, let me take you around some major benefits of it.

There is no kid who doesn’t like stories – I Bet!
Kids love stories – to the extent that they fall in love with the characters. It makes them curious, patient, and enhances listening skills. This gives the opportunity to parents to impart stories with great morals of Kindness, Empathy & Faithfulness.
At times, my daughter asks me to tell her a story about my childhood trips which brings the essence of nostalgia for me.
2. Sharpens Memory
Have you ever suddenly heard the character name of a story that you told your kid weeks back?
Well, I have heard many times, the bedtime story characters from my toddler’s mouth after weeks with further unending questions.
I clearly remember one of the imaginary characters ( Cheeku – Cheeku was having toothache in my story who was not ready to brush after having chocolates) which I told my daughter.
So, a few days back while I was having an appointment for my child’s pedodontics – my daughter said why was not Cheeku brought for cheek up to this dentist aunty by her mom – Boom Boom! Stories really make an impact and sharpen memory.
3. Imparts Values
